Gumbo going BIVS under Helen Lee Summer of 2001

I will see you in the morning
Just inside Heaven's door
I will see you in the sunrise
Over on the brighter shore
No more tears, no more pain
In a far better place
I will miss you til then
But I promise you again
I will see you in the morning
(Columbine Rememberance)
A near copy of his sire, Gumbo possessed the charm and happy attitude that made it easy to show him and finish him.
Gumbo earned both his American and Canadian championships exclusively from the Bred-By Exhibitor  class.

After retiring for a while, maturing and getting more and more handsome, I decided it was time to bring Gumbo back
out  as a veteran.  I'm so glad I did!  He picked up multiple Specialty Best Veteran awards, including a Veteran Hound
Group 1.

After several shows, Gumbo told me he didn't want to do this anymore, so I obliged him by letting him become the
patriarch of the pack.  I can still see him. . . standing in the middle of the yard, head tipped right, bark bark barking
 at me when I came
outside.  He was my first homebred champion.  He is greatly missed.
